Hey in race 6 on Saturday my GoPro fell off in turn 6. The corner worker saw it happen and picked it up knowing it fell of my kart number 83. The corner worker gave it to the tow truck driver to bring back in. Apparently someone else had also lost a GoPro in that corner and went up to the tow truck driver and asked it they had a camera and the tow truck driver gave them mine.

I think this was just an honest mistake so if you were the person who got the wrong camera or know who it might be please let me know. It would have video that looks like the image below. I was told it was someone in a blue suit that was smoking who was probably in race 6. Thanks.

Jer,

go to prophotobob.com and look through the photos of Saturday's races. Can't be too many blue suits in our race, maybe you can narrow them down. Blue suit, kart number, my laps....... you never know.

I hope it's just a mistake, pretty unsportsman like if not.

Got a little video of you....from behind. Thanks for letting me lead a lap or 2!!!! Laughing

Next time I won't be so cheap and buy some tires that actually have some grip. Lost tons of time in the infield not being able to turn at speed!

Good Luck, hope it shows up.

Robert

You lead more than a lap or 2. You might have only lead that many at the start but you lead the last 8 at the end after I pulled off and those are the important ones.

I have some video from practice before I lost the camera that I will try and post later this week.

A couple people have had some ideas who might have got it that Lisa from MKC is checking into. Well see.

Man thats good news, hope it shakes out.

Since using my first onboard and watching the footage you really can learn an awful lot. Don't care how good your memory is the recall of video is undeniable. It's become a high use tool now, as important as a plug wrench.

The helmet mounting, to me, is the way to go......it really shows how rough a track is and how different lines upset (or not) the kart/driving position as well as laptime. I think your far less likely to loose it isolated from the kart there.

When I showed the MIS video to the kids at work I really paid attention to their faces as I got back to the oval. A few times I couldn't see/focus for an instant and the video was not favorable either. Really shows the beating you take. There was a few laps on a different entry that were not as bad but no way to get around it all together. Needless to say they were pretty shocked and wondered if I was nuts to keep doing it!

If nothing else I hope you get the card back!
