|
|
Hello,
Do any of you know of a source for seals for the Trackmagic Brembo caliper of yesteryear? Yes, I've been Googling and have found good sources of Brembo parts, but am told they don't have the seals for the 32 mm caliper used in the Trackmagic.
Thanks,
Greg |

Are you talking about one of these little buggers?
The standard 32mm seals won't work?

Hi Chris.
That's the caliper I have on the front of my Trackmagic. The Brembo on the rear of the Trackmagic is also 32 mm. Yoyodyne has SOME parts but is not sure if they have the right ones. They won't take the seals back if I buy them and they're not the right ones and some of the seals are very expensive so I'm looking for a source that's certain to work. |

That's the guy, either you take a chance and see if they work, or swap out the calipers....

If you find parts, or a caliper with the same bolt pattern let me know. We have the same issues. I have not been able to find much either.
Thanks, Rich |

Hi Rich.
I had a spare and have replaced the seals in my best caliper body with them. After cleaning they seem fine and are not leaking under pressure.
When these seals fail, and they seem to last a very long time, I MAY build a new aluminum mounting plate, or adapter, and use a front Trackmagic caliper in the rear. I roadrace and don't tax the brakes much. I would not do this in sprint racing where brakes are taxed very heavily. |
