|
|
| I was thinking of installing spade connector on the M3 box RPM wire so that I can quickly disconnect it when removing the engine in lieu of either unplugging it from the box or unwrapping it from around the ignition wire. Question is, would doing so possibly inhibit or disrupt the signal? |

Chris,
Wouldn't I still have to unwrap the line from around the ignition wire with that piece? |

Yup, you're right.... sorry I was thinking that the wire was just attached to the clip.... I guess you could use a connector, but I think you would need a low loss connector. It's not picking up much of a signal from the plug wire.

| I've used it with the wire just attached to the clip and it works fine. This was with a pre-09 Leopard ignition if it makes any difference. |

| A spade connector is just fine. Just be sure to crimp the connector well and keep it clean. |

I only wrap around the wire once, not the three times shown. Only takes a second to attach and remove.

I don't wrap it at all. Works fine. It's just an antenna. _________________ A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. -- Winston Churchill. |

| If there's no need to wrap the wire it then that clip would work fine. Is AIM the source for it? |
