Hi Johnny
Will the side bar ,and fuel rules be enforced ? Do you have to join USSK to run? Thanks John. |

No you do not have to be a USSK member.
FYI There is no USSK any more. We (the racers)as a group will talk about next year at this event and try to put something together. From what I was told the USSK org is still "on the books" Given the past issues "we as a group will try to resolve them to have something for the 2013 season.
If you are talking about the nerf side bar, I don't think so. As far as fuel, it's open no methonal.
I believe the CIK rules reflect the body work. What Kelly and I are trying to do is put on a "FUN" event that gives a level playing field for each class, without all the bickering.
I have had a few guy call me on body work. The rules for body work will apply as listed by the CIK rules. The race director as the final say on this. I may be asked my oppinon. But they will make the call. not me.
Guys know if thier body work/ floor pan meet the rules.
Hope to see a really large turn out. Thanks for asking. _________________ Johnny West/West Racing |

Just some food for thought. I have been asked the below questions. For this event, we will run as on the schedule but, I would like to have a meeting with everyone to discuss these and any other questions for future events. KART enjoys having the SUPER KARTS at there event and will do what we can to give this group a good show.
1. Run 15 minute races vs 25 minute races (Pre-final & Final) ??
2. Have qualifing on Friday (as now), and have both the pre-final & final races on Saturday ??
If you have any more, save them for HPT or PM me.

Thanks Kelly and everyone working on putting on this event and welcoming the superkarts. Looks like fun on a great track. See you all there in three weeks.

| I certainly dont want to start a bunch of static here, However, I would like to know what we are going to do about the length of the races. I am not going to drive half way across the country for 15 minute races. If the decision on race time could be made prior to leaving for HPT it would be great. |

According to the Schudule its a 25 min Race Sat and Sun.http://www.kart.org/Forms/2012_HPT_Nationals.pdf
The Schudule is on Page 3, so I assume this will be how this particular event will be run. |

25 min races.
It was suggested by Few guys to look at the following.
Qualifie Friday
1 15 minute race Friday
Then 2 15minute races Saturday 1st in the am other pm
Sunday final 15min by noon 1pm
It was suggested as this might keep the field closer with fewer guys dropping out.
Only food for thought
Personally i don not care. Would like to see new faces get to the track. If this could help it's worth discussion with the racers .
You would actually get a little more track time and more time to sort you kart out should you have any issues.[/b] _________________ Johnny West/West Racing |

Scott,
As my earlier post, AS ON THE SCHEDULE.
Qualifing: 15 minute session (Friday)
Pre-final: 25 minute race (Saturday)
Final: 25 minute race (Sunday)
As I said above, those questions above were just asked by some racers. This is why I posted them AND, told everyone we would meet at HPT and discuss these questions and any other questions for FUTURE events. |

I kinda like Johnnys idea except with the Sunday final still being a 25 min race. I'm with Scott, it's not worth the drive for a 15 min final ever. Just my 2 cents worth. 4 races total for the weekend is a good thing. _________________ Bobby Butler......."GO BOY GO" RACING, HOUMA, LOUISIANA

FYI,
No one can get into the pit area before 5:00pm Thursday. We will need to get in first to set up the pit area before anyone goes in. We should be there by 4:00 to get things set up. I have a large area down low reserved for the superkarts. Area is 125' wide x 100' deep. Your lucky, you get to pit across from "THE MAN" .
Just park in the parking lot out by the credential building which is just outside the track on the East side. This is where passes will be sold. REMINDER, the DRIVER gets a pass with there entry but will still need to sign the waiver and get there pass before going inside along with everyone else. |

Thanks Joe.
Can you post where you are comming from?
Also: I spoke with Racer Roy he is comming out of Ohio Between Cleveland and Columbus. He has room for 1 other kart. His contact number is 330-714-1226. Great guy.
Also Mark Kupper is looking to buddy up with someone from Ohio.
You can PM me if you can not reach these guys.
Mike Sho and Sandie Mc Knee are looking to come down from Canada both are FE Twin drivers.
If you would like to make the trip and do not have a travel buddy to team up with I will try to help. Some times all it takes is a phone call to connect the dots.
Grid looks like it just might hit 25.
