Really hope the answers don't come back with the Supplied Rotax wall charger.

Looing at something with smarts in it to keep these crazy expensive Rotax batteries alive longer.

Ctek
Battery tender
and several off brands with similar functions.

I have been using the Battery Tender Jr. and have had good results. It is still early in my battery's life, so I don't know if it will increase the longevity or not, but so far the thing has been starting like a champ. I read that the supplied wall charger was giving people trouble and there were recommendations for using a float type charger, like the Battery Tender. So far so good, but I am curious to hear others opinions.

Sorry, but we've been using the standard charger for years. We've never had a battery fail, nor have we yet to replace a battery. Maybe we just a got a good one, but we've had no reason to do any else, as we're class champion more often than not.

Have you had specific issues or is this something that you're looking do to proactively before a battery fails?

Connection to the other thread of "Won't crank"

After an hour of Troubleshooting I positively determined the batteries were crap.
Came withthe kart from previous owner. Wall charger shows green light, and volt meter shows 12.4 and 12.5 volts.

Not digging this battery replacement schedule of everytime I go to the track.

+1 Battery Tender Jr I always keep the battery fully charged and never leave it out in the cold.

Battery Tender here, got an unknown age flat dead battery with my engine when I bought it, and it works like a charm now. I also received a solar trickle charger as a gift that I bring to the track and hook up in between runs.

My battery tender failed after 4 years of use and I can't find another one for under $40. Even junior tender is $30.
So I decided to use something different. Bought Black & Decker charger in Home Depot and returned it next week because its crap, never was able to charge my battery so I had to buy new from OGP Shop.
Tried Schumacher Electric from Walmart (1.5A, $20) and its working great so far.
Will sell my good battery I thought is was bad, $50 Yuasa.
