Observations:
Sucked not being there to race this year. Glad to see the Master shifter class growing from previous years by a few entries.
So TAG Senior, King of the Streets and TAG masters all shrunk by almost half this year??? Why is that? Is it due to the SKUSA national series, is that having an affect.
Why doesn't SKUSA back King of the Streets and the other shifter and TAG glasses anymore? If they want a midwest precence they really should.
Is it due to less $'s for winnings? The headline classes need to remain the draw.
There where 5 entries in Komet senior, in previous years if there where less then 10 in masters shifter we would get notice in advance saying we needed x amount or the class would be dropped. Odd _________________ http://bridgemanbroskarting.blogspot.com/

| Entry fee to high, maybe if your there to race one class, party and have fun, it's not a big deal. But if your a serious racer running multiple classes trying to pay your expenses or maybe make a few bucks, entry fees to high. Payout way to low, last year you had $5k for TAG and $4k for Yam. I know it's tough out there, and Rodger and everyone does a great job putting a great event on. But if you win every class you enter and still can't pay your expenses, for some, it just a hard sell. |

How many other races (SKUSA, WKA, RMC) do you go to and actually expect to cover expenses with winnings?????
A very wise man once told me, "how do you make a little money in karting......start with a lot"
The purses and pay outs from RIGP are great and in my book an added bonus to having a great time racing a truly memorable event. _________________ Brian McHattie

+1 on what Brian said. IMO I think going to any sprint kart race based on the assumption of winning prize money to cover your costs is optimistic at best. Add in the madness that is a street race and I think all bets are off.
For sure the entries were "weird". Not a lot of TaGs and very few KPV's!
Fingers crossed pro open stays for next year. _________________ Live in the midwest and have a TaG, Shifter, KPV, KT100, Animal\LO206, enduro or superkart?

| Excellent event as always. Easy for me to say because I had a good year, but I even in my rougher years at the RIGP I have had a great time, and keep coming back! Looking forward to next year. |
