|
|
Welcome to the Formula One Podium Picker Challenge Presented By EKartingNews and The Rock Island Grand Prix. This week - the Italian Grand Prix at Monza! First raced in 1922, the Monza track was famous for the high banked corners and extreme speeds that racers were capable of. These days the Parabolica corner leads onto the only remaining section of the track left over from those days, although much of the old track is still there for kids to play on. As always, great racing and a beautiful backdrop - not far from where most of our chassis are made.
New picks in by 5am PDT Saturday, and it's probably a good idea to drop Romain for the week...just sayin'.

EDIT: Updated points after the race. See everybody again in two weeks!

Frankly, I've never been so lost. I mean, look at the Spa qualifying with Koby and Maldanado having 2 of the 4 fastest times ?!?!?!?!
My WAGs:

Monza - Ferrari's home race, with the most enthusiastic fans in the world. Huge pressure for Ferrari to win.
I was at the 1995 Italian GP - mid race Ferrari was running 1-2. Looking around at the crowd, I became worried about the reaction if Ferrari finished 1-2. Then a camera fell off the leading Ferrari, hitting and breaking the suspension on the following Ferrari . Soon after the lead Ferrari also broke.
Therefore, there are no Ferrari's on my podium pick
1) Hamilton
2) Vettel
3) Button
