|

Having assembled a new kart using a PRD with the HL360 carb I would like to get closer on the high and low speed settings.
Broke the engine in very rich and at the first race it was way too rich in the 100 degree heat, but I suffered through rather than get to crazy and burn up a new motor.
The PRD manual settings are HS 1 1/4 and LS 1 1/2 so it would be great to see what others are doing for the High and Low Speed settings and what elevation and temperatures you run at.
Thank you.

Oh, if it was just that easy. It’s called tuning, and tuning is tough.
I don’t know what the best settings are, but an air density gauge would help, along with an EGT.
The air density gauge tells you what effect the abient condions are have on the air supply, and the EGT will tell you if your guess on carb settings is right. _________________ If the data does not support the theory, get a new theory. (Al Nunley)
