Anybody else not Not getting issues of National Kart News

Was told National Kart News was great ! Subscribed in March & received 1 issue & its the 1 st of August. let me know if your getting your issues

Dave,

I just spoke with them on the phone late last week ordering some back issues. The back issues showed up two days later, no problems. A while back they combined a couple issues, but are now back to monthly.

Give them a call, perhaps there's a mix up. If they missed an issue, they'll make it right.

Called & sent E mails & was given this song & dance how there behind . Cant believe they haven't published any Issues sence MARCH ! I Think your a advertiser (Burris Racing) your going to get your Issues Fast & First Im just a Joe Subscriber who they dont care About ! All they offered was a refund & no current or Back Issues

First of all here's the disclaimer, I write for NKN but have no part in the running of the magazine.

Having said that you guys are being misled by the cover date on the magazine. Due to some production problems over a year ago the cover date has basicly nothing to do with the publishing date.

Example; A couple of posters have said that they hadn't received an issue of NKN since March. Here's the thing the March issue wasn't mailed until late June/early July.
I just received my dealer pack of magazines this morning (July 30) but the cover date is April.
The magazine is being published and mailed/shipped monthly and has been for quite some time. The cover dates are what's wrong and have nothing to do with when that issue is published or mailed.

Thanks! but I Haven t received Any Thing the Last 2 Months . So if they publish & send out magazines every month like you say how come I haven't & others haven t Received any issues the last 2 months ? Heres an idea why don't they do a bimonthly deal 6 times a year so we the subscribers know what were getting right from the start & not this screwed up deal like were getting now. It would be nice to get an issue every month like you say & they advertise but that's not happening & that's my frustration!!

I understand your frustration and don't disagree with your point. I'd love to see the mag show up every month in on or around the same date. There are things I'd like to see more of and things I'd like to see less of in the mag. Even if it was tech re-prints for the new folks getting into karting. Kart build ups from start to finish for the new guys, etc.

But with that being said I'm damn glad we still have a karting mag published here in the US that comes to me as a magazine not a down load on my pc. Of course I'm one of those guys that liked NKN better when it was on the newpaper format vs the magazine format it is today.

The link between myself and Burris has no bearing on when I do or when I don't get the mags from NKN. When you don't get yours, I don't get mine.. I assume. I don't work for Burris even though it seems that way sometime, but the Burris family has suppored me since about 1982. If I thought calling Mike would have helped me get my mags sooner from NKN, I'd done it years ago.

I did receive the April issue in the mail yesterday. So if you did not get yours and it don't come today give them a call saying "Frankie got his, what the he**".

I subscribed back in early June, payment was made and I have not received any issue??

I got the April issue yesterday. Maybe the dates aren't in indication of the time frame, but the content is. Coverage from the March Man Cup race in Carolina. Greg's column that makes reference to the spring weather keeping them off the track. The March test of the DR kart. Looks an awful lot like the April issue to me.

We all used to complain about how untimely WKA's Karting Scene was when it was around and now it's all but gone. I may be going out on a limb here, but maybe, just maybe, there isn't really enough money in karting to justify a big time karting mag with a full time staff? With the Internet, magazines are getting harder and harder to justify...I know my advertising money is mostly web based now.

BTW...I was just getting into karting when KartSport was around and I thought that was the coolest mag ever. I do miss the great coverage and awesome photos in that mag.

GoRacing still prints a great magazine every month and I do look forward to getting it.

Go Racing is GREAT !! They send a box full to our kart club for Free so everybody gets one at the races!! Just an update its Aug. 2nd still haven't received any thing from National Kart News WHATS UP!!

Instead of complaining on here why don't you guys that aren't geting your magazines contact NKN directly. The magazine is being published and mailed monthly.

They even have email and everything. They don't actually mail them themselves but use a mailing service as do most magazines. They won't know it if you don't tell them.

Well Greg Thats what I tried first 2 phone calls 3 emails with no results (still dont have an issue ) thats why im on here asking people what there experiencing with NKN . As you can see other well known people in the karting world are getting there issues . So MY MESSAGE TO PEOPLE LOOKING TO SUBSCRIBE TO NKN IS DONT THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOU GET NOTHING !!!!!

The magizine is a joke. The only article worth reading (except for maybe a brand new karter) was Greg's article. That being said he wrote it and we read it 4 months later. Kart members got the magazine with their membership but KART got smart and quit buying the magazine. I received a letter wanting me to buy the magazine on my own, I wanted to send it back and say you have to be kidding. But I did what my mother tried to teach me, if you can not say anthing good say nothing. Well I am with you, people need to know it is a JOKE. (sorry mom)

Gee I hope there is no problems. I also just renewed my subscription and the charge cleared on my statement
