Welcome one and all to the Formula 1 Podium Picker Challenge Presented by EKartingNews and the Marina CA Volunteer Fire Department. This weeks race - the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. Fun track with weird weather and lots of passing opportunities. Should be a good race.

New picks in by 5am PDT Saturday...usual rules, let me know if clarifications are needed or data entry mistakes need to be corrected.

Oh...looks like Grosjean needs a new gearbox and will get a 5 grid spot penalty. Just in case anybody cares - it's not like he's not fast enough to get by slower drivers.

******************************************

Edit with points for this week's race. Congratulations to Vernon Head for picking up the most points (Cool this week and also a bonus cookie to both Geoff Wise and Gregory Dzielinski for getting the bonus point for calling the first three qualifying positions exactly right. Am pretty sure that Vernon won't find out about this as he's probably running his shifter right now at Golden Gate Fields...seems only fair. Next race is next weekend, will post the thread for that shortly.

LMAO. Gobel. Forever German. Except when he put a Japanese engine on his Italian kart.

Ok, it is going to cost me to lose the lead, but I like the idea.
Let's go an all Spanish speaking podium.

1.- Alonso
2.- Perez
3.- Maldonado

So , De la Rosa 4th?

I'm thinking Vettel wins his home GP.

1) Vettel
2) Alonso
3) Weber

(toss up for 3rd with Roman G).
