Superkart guys, We would really love your support and we know you all love this track. This is a great track for you guys.
Barber Motorsports Park and there promotional staff, Zoom Motorsports, are hosting the first Barber Kart Race brought to you by Xeramic Kart Lubricants / Dunlop Kart Racing Tires presented by Russell Karting. The race will be held July 6th - 8th, 2012 at the track. If you've recently seen it on Grand-Am or Indycar then you know that it's a world class facility. It has manicured grounds as good as any golf course, obvious and hidden sculptures all over the place, the best motorcycle and motorsports museum in the country, if not the world... and oh yeah, the smoothest surface, trickiest, challenging racetrack you'll ever drive on.
If you saw the races on tv recently, or you drove the track with us for the Big South Series and the national series back in 2004 - 2007, or if you missed you chance, then please don't miss this opportunity.
Entry forms are available on the Barber Motorsports website, on Southern Kart Club's website or you may email me directly at BigSouthSeries@gmail.com and ask for an Entry Blank. You may also ask any questions about the race at the BigSouthSeries@gmail.com or the Barber Kart Race Facebook page.
We hope to see you there.

I am sending in a registration this week and hope others will send theirs in ASAP to show the much needed support for your immense effort in making such a great venue happen again.
It was looking like this track was history for all karting.

I, will also send our entrys in this week. Barber is the very best racing track in U.S.A with all the things to SEE and to do, ofcourse the track is like glass also, no one should miss this great event.
as you all can see the managing group from Barber motorsport park are looking to see how the karting (superkart group) group is going to support this event so they could pave the road for more possible karting events at this grand track.
SO, PLEASE COME OUT AND LET'S SUPPORT THIS EVENT SO WE ALL COULD HAVE THE WORLD CLASS TRACK LIKE BARBER TO RACE AT NOW AND IN FUTURE. I WILL ASSURE YOU ONCE YOU RACE ON THIS TRACK (event) YOU WILL REMEMBER UNTIL THE REAST OF YOUR LIFE.
A Big thanks must go to ROBBY HARPER for making this event possible.
best wishes to all

I'll be there with my Superkart unless Florida goes back underwater. It's been a few years since we were under the Atlantic, so I'm planing to be there.
Thanks Robby, I love that track. |

I’ll try to answer a couple of questions I’ve been asked. Here goes:
All current TAG engines are allowed. All weigh 380lbs in TAG Heavy except the Motori Seven and Sonik TX 125 which must weigh 410. They also must be 30 lbs heavier in TAG lite at 350.
Can Sprint, the short pipe (former PP Can) weighs 360lbs and the long can (Sportsman) weighs 385lbs.
Pipe Sprint, the Yamaha weighs 360lbs, the other Piston Port engines are 385lbs.
Sportsman Lite Enduro is 340lbs for the short can and 360lbs for the long one. Heavy is 380lbs and 400lbs respectively.
100cc Controlled Enduro is 390lbs. You can run any pipe. The water-cooled may run at 410lbs.
B-Stock and F125/100 run Saturday only but they may also enter Unlimited 1 or 2 at the same weight as their individual respective class.
Yamaha/PP Lite and Heavy have a 25lb break between the Yamaha and the other Piston Ports.
Vintage American and Foreign refers to the respective engines. Foreign are mostly Italian engines and American are the McCulloughs and such.
All the 4 cycle sprint classes are exactly like SKC classes.
I hope this has answered questions. Look for the specific class schedule upcoming by Friday April 20th. _________________ R3 --- (Robby Harper III)

Australian American Racing plan to make this race. We will run FE 250 Superkart RS Honda and Formula 1 chassis for me and ICE Honda CR 250 on new Formula 1 chassis for my son Taylor. Probably also bringing the ICC karts for at bit of extra track time. Looking forward to it _________________ Australian American Racing

Jeff:
I'll bring the scotch again, but you better NOT work on your cylinder until midnight. |

Ted, If you help Jeff with the squish and timing, etc. Don't forget to tighten the cylinder base nuts . . .
And perhaps better to take payment after the job is completed.
Best Regards
