Thanks Ted I recall your front air bag deploying on your suit at Miller in 2009. Anyone still have the photos ??

A perfect picture with Ted on how front airbag technology works.

Ted, only 2 weeks ago I wore that racesuit but the technology was pulled out of it when you handed it back to me.

Racing Stock Honda gives me plenty of time between races to enjoy.
That's Jimmy Johnson on my shoulder, when I got him he came with a blue anodised tag around his leg stamped with number 48. Wink

I've worn leathers all thru my karting career. Bates leathers. The're hot, heavy and stinky. My suit weighs 20 lbs. I've had a nylon-type custom made suit brand new for years and still haven't worn it. My leathers have all kinds of ventilation holes punched into them and it doesn't help much for cooling. I put ice inside my jacket while waiting for the race to start. Once rolling, I don't notice how hot I am. With all these problems, I wouldn't think of racing a kart (enduro kart) without leathers. Those flimsy nylon suits most wear are to me like wearing your wife's panties for protection. Go ahead, take the bait and make a joke. When you get spit out of your kart your gonna pay. You might have been okay except for all the skin you left on the pavement.

Design 500 racewear does very nice suits. You can get a Kevlar lining.
although have to say have not "tested mine"I do feel it's the best suit I have ever had. It's worth a call to James
