I'm doing the Blytheville Pro this weekend but have never done one in a kart. I have been running a 15/26 sprocket combination, but I put a 27 rear for this event. Is that what most people have found, or am I off base?

It depends on the course. Here's a few options based on 12,000 rpm:

15/24 = 1.600 = 77.9 mph in 6th
15/25 = 1.667 = 74.8 mph in 6th
15/26 = 1.733 = 71.9 mph in 6th
15/27 = 1.800 = 69.3 mph in 6th

At the Pro Solo in Lincoln, I ran a 15/25 and thought it was perfect. Pro Solo courses are usually more open than a normal auto-x course and thus you can reach a higher speed. I would of liked to run a 15/27 at the Tour in Lincoln.

Without seeing the courses at Blytheville thought, I'm not sure, but I would say stick with the 15/25 for the Pro Solo and then switch to the 15/26 or 27 for the Tour. Just a general rule of thumb.

Most of the prosolo courses I've been on seem somewhat small compared to tours, but I haven't done a pro in AR. The tour course last year was really fast.

As a side note, I noticed by the entry list I'm up against all the heavy hitters. I'm in deep trouble to try not be last. It'll be fun though!

I wish I could make the Pro. But I will definitely be there for the Tour! I'm looking forward to seeing how I stack up to JT and Alan and others.
