Forum admins and moderators, a question for you.

Since the karting website and this forum use the same software, can we import the old topics from the karting website into this forum and just lock them all down? It would be a shame to loose all of the knowledge that they contain.

I have found that searching through the karting website archives has proved to answer many of the questions that I have had.

That is an interesting question, I don't think we'd thought of that.

The first priority would be to get Pete's permission to do such a thing.

But, secondly, at this late stage, it might be very difficult for us to pull off such a project, especially since Glenn and myself will be away from the office from now until the end of the weekend.

As much as I hate to lose that info, I don't think we could manage it before Pete shuts down on Sunday night. If something changes and the outlook becomes brighter, we'll be sure to let you know.

I am sure that pete could just send you the data files... and you can add them to an archive. As for permission, will you ask him. I can help with the technology end of this if you need a program written to import the data or something.

Everything will be backed up to a couple of my local machines.
