8inch vs 9inch wide rims

just after people's opinion's on rim widths?, and with front rims as well? the pro's and con's.

You need to look at the tyre manufacturers recommendations. I know there was a huge debate about this before Nats a couple of years back and a few who would have rather run 6's and 9's were forced to run 5's and 8's (from memeory but Sammy should be able to help out here) as that was what Bridgestone recommended at the time for the YBH. I also know that had Sammy been running 6's and 9's the nasty accident that saw Anton doing his best swan dive going into turn 2 at EC may have ended differently as a wheel clash would have been better than a tyre rub so to speak. I'm also interested to see what others are using and why....
