Darren,
I think that you want to be ranked first! Look at how many topics you have started!

Darren,
What business are you in that you must work a week's worth of hours in one day? You don't have a 7-Eleven do you?

Andy, Glad you asked. The racewear business. I was behind on an order or rib protectors. I could not get a machine operator to work on sunday so I did them myself, all 20.
The name of the business is Shifter safety gear.
It is a pleasure to talk with. Pitts is well respected.

Darren,
What, if any, are the unique characteristics of your rib protectors? We have been a RIBTECT dealer for quite some time, and just recently Horstman/Peter from Amago Raceway came up with a similar and less costly product. How does your product compare?
Thank you for the kind words about PITTS.

Andy, glad you asked (again),
We started making this particular rib protector in 1995, after examining the entire market.
We sandwich together coolmax mesh, 3/8 inch closed cell foam, 500 denier cordura. Running verticaly down each side are 7- 1 inch wide x 6 inches tall x 1/4 inch think polyethylene plastic ribs. spaced and covering about 15 inches in width. There is also a rear pad with same foam and plastic. The two sides are secured by 2 1-1/2 webbing covering with velcro for closure, both front and back, so the entire unit can adjust from 27 inches to about 42 inches. The shoulder straps are fully adjustable as well. The units sell for $130 retail. We also have a childs version that fits a 23 inch to 32 inch area. Sell alot of them.
hope that helps.

Darren,
Could you send one to the shop? I could give you a credit card(privately of course), send COD or I will return a check immediately, it's up to you. I would like to see your product. Please send one that fits the average adult, about a 42 chest.

Andy, Not a problem. I am going to have my sales person (Rich Simons) give you a ring tommorrow. I will let him handle that part, I just design and make the products, he does not let me out much. I think he is heading to South Bend for the weekend race but he should be in Thursday.
We have an exciting new line coming out this summer. will update you on that.
Thanks

| I`ve been home with bronchitis the last two days and my wife keeps kicking me out of bed when I cough. I always have a weird schedule anyway. I almost never know until the day before about my schedule. The contractors I work for always schedule at the last minute and the jobs last anywhere from a half day to a couple of months. |
