you guys remind me of Obama supporters, and always looking for a reason why she constantly doen't perform. I guess you could blame it on Busch, huh? lol
Face it, Cole wins a lot of races and is a hell of a wheel man and i doubt what he did was intentional and could even been her own lack of car control. Anyhow, she's won one race in the last 15 years so IMO she's community organizer material and Cole is the real deal!

Just thinking, as someone who likes both Cole and Danica...

How loudly some of you would be have been screaming if Danica had taken out Cole, instead of the other way around Rolling Eyes

Can you say double standard????

Tim

Only when it's established that the two have equal talent can it be considered a double standard... Time will tell.

Either way, Danica didn't look like she did anything wrong. I like Cole and Danica. But, they are teammates. You don't take you teammate out. It looked like he bumped her and then pushed her. He should have backed off after the hit.

Tom, it looked like to me (and from some of the comments from my NASCAR friends) that when Cole went to push her she got loose and over corrected and went into the fence. Either way Cole is in 4th in points which says something for his driving since he's had very little time in a Nationwide car. Razz

Tom, how many laps do you think it'll take before your fav female Nationwide driver gets lapped at Bristol? Rolling Eyes

OK. Let's take bets.
Because it is Bristol and there will be several cautions and 'Lucky Dogs'...

37 laps

I'm not knocking her driving ability, but it is a very difficult track to be good at. I see her getting spun out at least a few times throughout the race.

Dan, you have a good point, especially in the Nationwide series where there's not a lot of experiance from 15th on back. I was going to say around lap 50 but the cautions will be a factor.

Looks like you were right. It was lap 50.

Dan, did you notice how good her car was when she was being lapped? She would pull back up on the leaders an lose a ton through the corners. Ryan Truex did a great job, especially having a pit road penalty and passing a bunch of cars to finish up front.

I didn't get to watch the whole thing. I was busy in the garage all day but during lunch breaks and stuff I would turn it on. I DVR'd it and fast-forwarded through it. Seemed like it was a pretty boring race from what I saw of it.

I think Cole finished about 15th and Danica finished 19th.

Cole is one of the most talented people I have ever seen inside of a race car. Regardless of his money, connections, etc, Cole has what it takes to become a superstar within NASCAR, as he has proven by doing so in other series, such as USAC, and of course, karting.
