Hello,
I'm french and I developped a free Android application dedicated to your Kart usage. I already had french forum advices but I want to know if you have suggestions, translation issues, bugs, etc. in order to enhance the application.
Karting Tools Lite features :
- stopwatch with lap history (no screen lock)
- flags
- local weather and Rotax jetting (pro version beta)
- maximum speed
- average speed
- speed in Km/h or Mph
- multilingual (english/french)
- vertical or horizontal display
Karting Tools Pro features (soon) :
- stopwatch up to 4 drivers simultaneously, driver name, results export
- kart/driver settings recording
- track weather
- track database
Application page : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fabreax.android.kartingtools.activity
Thank you. |

Hi Fabien,
I'm Inigo Sans, our company has developed the application Jetting Max Kart, a Rotax jetting application for Android devices. Though we could be your "competitor" in jetting functionallity, we're very happy that more karting applications are published in the Market.
I've just installed your application and I'd like to send you a suggestion:
In the oil/gas ratio calculator, you should allow to introduce decimal numbers. Added to this, I think the calculation is wrong. When people say 5% it means 5 cm3 for 100cm3 of mixed gas, not 5 cm3 of oil for 100 cm3 of gas.
On the other hand, in the stopwatch section, it would be great being able to register splits besides laps.
Regarding the icon, I think you should improve it, you don't associate your icon to karting.
At last, if you want me to translate your application to Spanish, please contact me.
Best regards. |

Hello Inigo,
Thank you very much for your advices and precision.
The main goal of "Karting Tools" is not jetting so I think "Jetting Max Kart" is not a competitor and very much more dedicated to jetting.
Do you want to add another Karting Android application in the future ?
Do you know other useful functions in the pits ?

Hello,
Sorry for the delay.
Thank you for your comments. Inch/Cm preferences will be available in the next release of Karting Tools.
New 1.11 version contains :
- new gear ratio calculator feature
- add 6 french tracks : Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire, Rochy-Condé, Juvaincourt, Val d'Argenton, Abbeville and Valence
- fuel/oil mix ratio : add more precision for oil value
- track country preference with country detection
- fix a flag description
Do you think gear ratio calculator could be enhanced ?
Thank you. |

Inigo, your application always suggests using IW34 spark plug, which I never seen anybody to use. Care to explain? |

| I like the stop watch the best. How about multiple kart timing, at least 2 and preferably 4 karts. Nice program. |

Thank you. Multiple kart timing is the next feature which will be included in next release (beta in Lite version, then in Pro version).
Due to the small screen size, I don't know if 4 drivers will be available. If 3 drivers are available in stop watch, do you think it's ok ? |

Fabien - take a look at the Sports Timer Pro app for Andriod. Its got a very nice multi-timer layout. |
