Where are the older classifieds going?

After the change over to the separate sections, things were much easier to find - thanks. But now I'm looking for some posts from July 2010 and it appears that the Parts classifieds are only going back about 6 months, to July 2011. Are the posts from between the switch over and July being archived somewhere? Or do they just drop out?

Yes. Everything older than 180 days from the current date is removed automatically in all the Classifieds sections. This is the help save space on the server, as most products is sold or reposted a number of times.

I guess the next obvious question is, why are the old archives (pre-2009) still available, taking up that valuable space?
