Does anyone have any info on the closure of Concept Haulers Motor Speedway in Norway Illinois?

I've talked to a few people and this is what everyone seems to believe will happen:
-Jet Karting is moving out of the shop on track and will be vacant for someone else to occupy. Meaning any kart shop can pay the lease and, essentially, operate the track.

-Les owns the track, and him and Diane will operate the races and practice days for the 2012 season; unless someone buys the lease to operate the track.

Honestly though, contact Les Finke.

We are going to be talking with Les Finke (Concept Haulers Motor Speedway) and Andy Finke (Jet Karting) this week and will have an article early next week detailing the current situation for both parties.

I think the track is still owned by Bob Combs.

I haven't reconnected with either parties. Once we do, we will try to get the full story out there. Thanks.

The track will be open.

Les is working on getting someone in the shop.

Best thing we can do is dust the karts off and race(practice) more often. It would really suck if this track closed!

It would be nice if Jet Karting was able to relocate their shop to someplace close to the Norway track.

If they leave the area, then there will not be a local Birel dealer. MRP in Michigan would be the nearest Birel shop.

It would be nice if whoever takes over the shop at the track will carry a major kart brand like TonyKart or CRG, because none of the local shops currently sell them.

Thanks for posting the link.

I wonder what brand(s) of karts the shop at the track will sell. The website didn't mention anything about it.

It looks like things have worked out for everyone.

Jet Karting has found a new home at the MRP (SBRP) track.

The Norway track is under new management and is going forward with the season.

I still haven't been able to find out if there will be anybody in the kart shop at the Norway track, or what line of karts they will be selling.

Has anybody else heard anything about if there will be a kart shop at the Norway track this year, and what line of karts they will be selling?

Talking with Les a few weeks ago, they are working on putting together a plan to put in an onsite service shop.
