Does anyone know how we go about getting a list of weigh-ins from nats for f125 and f125L? I think we had them last year.

I would ask Brian Harmer. You can PM him on Mokan, or call the National Office. I know he post sound results, I would think he would have access to weights as well.

OK I got a question,

Why is 390 pounds about as close as anyone was gettig to 385? and some peeps were wearing lead filled vests and were significantly over the minimum. Were the scales that "flakey"

Do you want to risk DQ to be 4lbs closer? Plus everyone had to be drinking lots of water, it was extremely humid/hot.

Check kart #50, he was running the thinnest weight margin.

Personally I always make sure I am at least 4 - 5 lb over, just because of the way it scales down (no pun intended). For example many cars with 2500+ minimum weight are coming in with a 1% - 2% safety margin, which seems like a reasonable error range for the scales. If you run a non-PI kart at #390 and the scales are off by 1.5%, you're DQ.

I thought the scales were pretty good this year. I don't think it was off by much if it's off at all.

I received a kart only version of the weight list like Tom. Since the entire list is posted on sccaforum, I guess there is no harm to post it here. So there it is: (The spacing is off, so you have to figure this out a little)

Thanks to Brian Harmer for the sound data!

Joe,
You have to be careful with setting your weight. People that come across the scales less than 5 pounds over are risking a DQ due to the possibility of a flakey scale, a tailwind over the scales, a lost part on course (Lisa, whew!), lower fuel load due to reruns, lost water weight... the list goes on and on.

Besides, 5 pounds isn't the difference between drivers at an autocross.

It would have been real interesting if the drivers had been weighed also! Cool

I can give a little insight on that one since that is me. I scaled before we ran with an empty tank of fuel at 386. I added just over a gallon of gas before running and then they scaled me at 385 after the run group. I was a little annoyed to say the least as one of the tech guys said you are cutting it really close. I carried an extra 3 lbs of lead on day two and magically scaled 6 lbs heavier.

Keith, your experience virtually mirrors my past events where scales were present. Drives me crazy (which lately is a short trip).

I guess you guys have a point about 5 pounds safety. I easily can sweat 5 lbs.

Uhhh.....

I think most karts are 198 lb - 205 lb with no weight added. But there's no way to tell driver weight because list doesn't say who has weight bolted on.

Ryan Lower is stout but I don't think quite 350 lb !!
