14-16 oz of oil. I've been running the Predator SPL light with very good luck (we have 15+ races on 1 engine this year) but FHS, Cool Power, or just about any good racing oil should be fine _________________ Rich Eisgruber

Is there a manual out there about these motors?
How exactly do you change the oil? |

You could use the Honda GX200 manual, that's what the manufacturer did
To change the oil, run the engine till it's hot, shut it down, then drain from one of the drain plugs at the base of the engine, front is usually easiest on a motor mounted to a kart. Refit plug and fill with clean oil, this is usually done at the end of a race day along with maintenance on the rest of the kart.

Thanks. I see that http://engines.honda.com/parts/ownersmanuals/gx200 shows multiple models. Would assume that any of them give the general idea...
Probably over thinking this, but wanted to get something I could read on my own to learn a little more.
Thanks for the feedback. |

More info than you'll ever need over here:

BTW, they race the genuine Honda in stock form in Canada but are switching to the Briggs LO206 now. _________________ John Matthews

Thanks. That will definitely take me some time to read.
We are starting a Junior Chonda class here in San Antonio area for 12-16 but no Briggs for now. |
