Hate to be a pest about this, but I'm in the middle of a rebuild and could use a bit of help with understanding the relevant tech specs for the WF motor. (IKF ideally)

Have the head off now, am surprised that it's not a 3-angle cut on the seats and am guessing that's verboten. Going to take a lot of clover to clean up the exhaust seat. Sharp corners in the exhaust port casting ain't that pretty either...but am pretty sure that's off limits too.

Oh, and popup? Where's that measured? On the tall part of the piston or on the periphery?

Any inputs would be tremendously appreciated. -la

Yes, one angle only on the valve seats, pop-up is measured from the top of the kidney bean.

But....

If you're building the motor could I suggest you purchase a copy of the latest tech manual. One of the rules in there says you have to have it anyway Wink
