| Would someone get the lap times at the upcoming race for me. I am curious as to the lap times ( I know that there is not a C Open class anymore) of the fastest classes. Thanks in advance. In 1992 Mark Dismore was turning 1:36 in his C Open and I want to know how much faster (if any) the newer karts are, as I keep hearing that the older engines are all obsolete. |

Don't know if it helps... but quite a few shifters (125s) break into the mid 1:34's now-a-days.

Try www.dartkartclub.com
On the home page there's a section with the best lap times for the year for all classes at Mid -Ohio.
1:31 is the best for the Unlimited class but I think that will be broken this weekend. |

Marty, if you go to www.dartkartclub.com, you will see on their opening page a link for "fast laps".
THree classes have fast laps under 1:40. Mike Herman in B-lmtd @ 1:38.1; Ted in sprint 125 at 1:34.2; and Johnny West in Unlimited (250 twin)@ 1:31.5. A 1:36 time would get you in the top 10 in sprint 125 most likely or at least close to it, but not in the top five, but it is still a very quick time. 250 twins typcally run around 1:32, fastest singles may make the high 1:33s.
