We have a few changes in RoadRace I'll
post the ones I can remember.
All 1 hour races are now 45 minutes.
Fixed pipes only in Yamaha and Piston Port.
All 100cc heavy classes are 400lbs.except
Sportsman which has a light and heavy
and weigh 380 if I remember right and
410 which is right.
All sit-up classes have to have a minimum
of 14" from the ground to the top of the seat bodywork classes included.
Jr.Enduro eliminated and the Jr.Sprint
class now has a light 290# and heavy 310#
Pre98 reeds will get a 20# weight break.
That is all I can remember now but I am sure
others can fill in the rest.Just remember
don't shoot the messanger

John,
Thanks for making the effort to give us an unofficial preview of the meeting results.
There was a proposal (#6?) for a massive realignment of road race classes, eliminating many more than just the Jr. Enduro. What happened with this proposal? (If you can recall...)
Thanks,
Jeff |

Jeff,
The original proposal got reworked. Wish I had my notes with me. I run Yamaha enduro, the light and heavy are both staying. The light will be a 370# class and heavy will be at 400#. for me that is a benefit. I do not recall if the rule on rear body worked passed or not. Most of the classes stayed. Thought for sure they would add a Rotax Max class, but that is what I get for thinking. Hopefully Deborah will let us know of more changes. I missed Sundays portion of the meeting. (working a corner at the local sprint track). |

I started to post a recap of the weekend, and did in fact post one. Then I heard Mr. Lynn Haddock's voice in my head saying "Diarreah of the mouth when you are tired will bring you nothing but trouble". I think he told me that about 4 or 5 years ago, and he was right! SO>>> instead of giving you a briefing on what I remember when I am tired, I will wait and give you a briefing on what I KNOW happened, when I'm not! I may have to wait a bit to get the minutes as we met from Fri 9-7 RR Committee Fri 7-11, Gen meeting Sat 9-6:30, Sun 9-6, and I am all pooped out!

Debbie will post later since she has the good notes.I can add a little bit.
Spec Sprint was eliminated I know SCK
will still have it as a local option class.
The 125 moto will allow the TM but no
programable ignitions.125 Intl.can have
a programable ignition and there is a
new 125 class which is Masters type class
420# 35years plus or 195# min.driver weight.
The enduro bodywork has not changed so
tails are still out.More Later

Thanks John.
Deb, take your time. You sound a bit disappointed. Hmmmm... could be the long meetings, too. Wish I could have made it to some of the meetings. Oh, well. We have a big dance gig coming up this weekend. Needed to prep for that. Get some rest. |
