Hi Larry:
Just confirmed my entry this AM.
I will be running the Kodak 620x with Nikon glass for Shifter Kart Illustrated.
SKI's senior photographer Jeff Deskins will also be in attendance piloting his new Canon digital package.

It would appear that there is a real possibility of this weekends event at Willow Springs being cancelled or postponed. Let's hope that things work out quickly with the airlines and we can start to put this mess behind us (atleast for a few hours). God bless all of the victims and their families.

we will have a 1 lap qualifying session and 2 heat races on friday. All odd qualifiers in one heat and even qualifiers in the other. They will determine the grid for sat...If you have any questions call JR...Looks like it will take 3 sets of tires to be competative. Eddie and Wayne will have new tires on every time they go out!!!!

All,
I just noticed that AMA has published a press release stating that they have postponed the Willow Springs Motorcycle event. The information can be found at the following sites:
www.amaproracing.com www.roadracingworld.com
Does this mean that the World Superkart Race, which was a support event, is also cancelled/postponed?
I need to know for sure since I am supposed to get on an airplane tomorrow. Air travel is most likely NOT going to be easy or tivial, under the circumstances of the past few days. Esp. flying out of DFW.

I think is safe to assume that if the main event is cancelled so will all support races. We are officially ceasing our efforts to get to CA.
JR should be making an official announcement later this morning. |

| Not to be. It is obviously a sad time for many. It is probably for the best that this event has been postponed. Hopefully the organizers can put something together again this year. We were really looking forward getting together with everyone for this event. |

To all, I regret to announce that the AMA Super Bike and World Super Kart Challenge event scheduled for this weekend at Willow Springs has been cnacelled due to the terrorist attack on our Nation yesterday. With restrictions to air travel, it became evident that members of several teams would not be able to reach the West coast in time for the race.
We should have news within the next few days regarding rescheduling of the event which we will post on the forum. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families.
Kindest regards,
John R. Clasen
