We have the putnum park enduro race in aug 24-26 with the 150 mile race! that should be interesting.. seems like there is a good bit of interest in the endurance race!

Sounds like we'll also have the Tackette & Miller show!! the 125 class should be a great race to watch.. now would you guys be going out with nose cone or cik?

there will also be a good number of 250 twin and singles out there.. so hopefully we get a chance and see a few more new faces in our group..

Scott, word on the street is that there are 5-3 odds that this "Fast_Ardy" will fall in the pits during a pit stop and break his arm.

I'll be there... duno about being fast!! I like Charlie's term better!! "the display kart" thing!!
and no more arm breaking, got metal plates in there!!

the fast guy is Gene. the one with the same last name as you.. he needs to get out of his 125 retirement and get into the 250s..

Is everyone taking their rain tires to Putnam? Remember the Dart Kart Speedway Club Enduro Series runs rain or shine!!

always in the trailer you just keep up with your rain dance! looks like we may be using them for this weekend!! specially the 150 could prove to be very interesting if it were to be wet/dry!

here are some of the basics I know;

your practice fee for friday includes entry to the 150 mile race. kart rules are based on what ever class you run for the weekend. there are 2 150 mile races. one for slower karts and the second for faster (I think heard controlled may be where they break down, but not sure).

fri practice starts at 9 am with the usuall groups. 10:30 am the first 150 mile race. 12:30 lunch, 1:15 practice, 3:00 pm second 150 mile race.track closed at 5pm.

I don't believe there are any restrictions on your stops and driver changes, but not sure.

please keep in mind, this is the first time this is being done in recent years. so this is for fun, and if it generates enough interest, I am sure the club would be interested in looking at more detailed rules for future races, if need be..

I figure that since it's just days prior to this event, I'd check something out and see if I got a response.

My Dad is hemming and hawing about making the trip to Putnam (I'll be there, sans kart, interviewing for the rags) and we're wondering if a single blimited will come to the track. Anyone with a blimited arriving?

Ardy, if I am reading you correctly, when we arrive for Friday practice, we will be given two 1.5 hour sessions. Which means three groups of practice, with kart pickup in that 1.5 hour, so we will actually get 2 15 minute (or so) practices all day???? (see ya Saturday morning) I'll pass on friday.

That's a very good question, Marc. Somebody else asked that on the Dart website message board, too. I then asked about what the deal was with this aspect. No offense to you, but as I asked, is this a race or is it going to be two hours of open pracice???

Naturally, you are going to have people coming and going out of the pits, but if you let people use it for "practice, it may dramatically increasre the pit in-pito out traffic. Plus, I don't think you should have people out there racing and others out there breaking in engines, scuffing tires, trying different set-ups, etc....in other words just practicing. That makes it a free for all and makes it potentially more dangerous. I know some are not as "focused" when they are practicing as when they are racing.

Unfortunately, don't seem to be able to get any answers out of anybody about this. Heck, I couldn't even get an answer to what group we would be in!!
