Does anyone know why the Briggs limited modified was dropped from the 2011 nationals schedule? |

| Because in 2010 it was the Brett Farmer vs. David Calabrese class perhaps? Two karts does not a sustainable class make. If the class had been better supported, it would not have been dropped. |

Please take a look in the 1013 section of the IKF rule book and it explains how National classes are added and dropped.
At the 2010 Grands IKF LTD MOD Briggs Animal had the lowest number entries in it class for the event.
The mod class is not ran at a regional level. Where as IKF Briggs World Formula Masters and Briggs Gas Animal Heavy were and by the formula in the 100 section they move to a National Class and the LTD Mod class moved to the regional.
I believe that the Hosting club chose not to add it for the grands as a local option. _________________ OK everyone It's my opinion only, no one elses, and does not reflect any organization or office that I belong to or hold. Thank you for your support.

| Thank you Mike, I really wish they didn't drop that class cause it was my favorite class, but it is what it is I guess. |

Yeah its great, lets remove the Premier 4 cycle class in IKF 4 Sprint and add clone exhibition races at grand nationals???
Lets all goto harbor freight and get some race engines and enter the clone exhibition, doesnt that sound like fun at a grandnationals........?LOL
Animal Medium last year only had 8....... Most classes only have between 8-12 anyways other than WF hvy. How can you build classes and get stability when they do this??? Might aswell remove animal medium too...
They should atleast place LTD MOD on probation for a year before just yanking it alltogether and make it a local option class!!
Add it as a local option intstead of the wf light class that had 9 lastyear.....
There will be atleast ten this year if it is added!!!

I was a tad disappointed to not see the F 200 class. I know it's not an IKF
class but it showed well at last year's Grand Nats. And sounded fantastic.
Clones at a Grand Nats ? Not acceptable for any reason. It's an entry level class at best. If it came down to clones I'll bite the big one and get a 2 cycle !!! LOL !! _________________ I breathe ,therefore,I race |

Charles ,you know better. The only issue I have with the W.F. is the time it takes to get it spotless after a race. I hate taking a dirty engine to bed with me !!!! _________________ I breathe ,therefore,I race |

Bernie - If you kept it on the track it wouldn't get nearly as dirty. |

I spoke with Dan Pelazarri from Shasta Kart Club and he said "rest assured that the LTD Mod class WILL be re-added to this years Nationals class schedule as a Local Option Class for a duffy"!!!!
Please comeout and support this class if you can, it has been around since atleast 96 and is the fastest and funnest class in 4 cycle racing and we need the kart count to keep the class.
A LTD MOD is alot faster than an F200, at tri cities they were about a second a lap faster, they are ALOT cheaper to build and more reliable. |

It's a shame more karters don't know about Animal Ltd. Mod. They are powerful and easy to build/maintain. It would make a great option for 2 cycle guys who don't think 4 cycles have enough power.... _________________ John Matthews

| I heard that the Limited Mod was brought up at the IKF meeting this weekend, that there are to many classes already to add this class. Anyone have updates? Personally I think they should drop all exhibition classes, who wants to waste money at the nationals if your not racing for a Duffy. Limited Mod is the cream of the crop, we had 7 or 8 karts last year and there was maybe over 20 duffies between each competitor. |

The only update I had heard was that it was going to be added as a Local Option, but then again I didn't see it posted as that on the I.K.F. National Schedule. I agree drop the exhibition classes those should be introduced on a regional level, not at a national event in my opinion.
