Just read Mike's post....
IMHO, the clone is going the same direction as the flathead did back when Mike was winning championships (as a driver and engine builder). Good engine builders can cover their tracks, and when the engines are built by as many companies as clones are who can say what's stock and what's not.
Yeah, plenty of folks are willing to put $1000 into a clone. Some even more.... IMHO there ought to be an open class in sprint racing so the folks who want to play with their engines have a place to run.
