I just got notice from Burris that they are making pistons for the Raptor series engines to fill the gaps in the availability where the others were discontinued. It sounds like the flathead is still being supported by the aftermarket. So this means that all of the flatheads I have can be put back together again instead of collecting dust under the bench! Cool

The only problem is the clone has exploded, at least it has here in Indiana on the dirt tracks. We are expecting no less than 12 for our 1st race this Sunday

Rich,

The FH still accounts for the large majority of the entries in many areas. While the clone is gaining in popularity, the FH is still alive and well.

The link below gives some details about the pistons:

They missed the boat if they didn't get the .140 over pistons done.

That's what we use for stroker Animals, IMHO the only good use for Raptor cranks Laughing

The Burris flathead piston kits have received approval from AKRA, BNSS and KART in addition to the numerous local and regional programs who have allowed them as local options. We are still awaiting an official position from IKF. WKA is holding off on making a determination until they get into their 2011 rules mode.
