They think quite highly of American cars now Smile Well some of them

That car looks very much like a Lotus Elise on steroids

Bob mentioned Top Gear. For anyone who hasn't seen it, Top Gear is on BBC America and if you love cars (and I think I can safely assume that description fits anyone on this forum) it is the best car show on tv by far.

While cars like this and others Hessensy has built and stuff like the 253mph Veyron, and 235 mph McLaren, Saleen etc. are all fantasy cars for the .01% of them that can afford such a machine, I like Lotus's original concept or better yet Ariel Atom or the KTM Crossbow better, light weight exotic relying on perimeters within the real world, quick to 100, 1G+, 70 to 0 in a flash and 25mpg. All the excessive engineering going into the Veyron to make it go 253 is useless, how about topping out at the standard European 155mph, keep the weigh under 2000lbs and using all their engineering resources to get 25 mpg at 100 mph?
Uh?, .... I must have had a reality blackout, what?.... I love the idea of 1000hp! If I'd change anything it would to be to get rid of the useless passenger seat!
Long live Texans building insane cars!!!

Not to change the subject but whatever happened to the SALEEN MUSTANGS Question At the time I thought they were pretty cool.

Steve Saleen left the company a few years back and started another. The Old Saleen boys I believe still do Mustangs, but also Camaros and Challengers and other stuff.
I think Steve is working on engineering to Chinese manufacturers and other companies too.
