Ever live the green and gold, colors borne in wins of old,
Chapman, Clark pushed them fast, to checkered flags and glory past;

Modern lads say that green is bad, but I'm not sure they ever had
the bollocks to lay their talent 'nigh that from the heather'd country high;

Where rampant lions bear the pride, of Scottish men, their fears denied
who raced on tracks both dry and wet, and lined with trees, let none forget!

From 'Ring they came, and Monza's curve, returning home with wins deserved;
'til all their lives were spent in full, true racers all, and that's no bull!

Lest any chide those colors dear, that green and gold we love to cheer,
We'll race on fast 'til day is done, and time has shown which colors 'ave won...

(an original, for your pleasure...) Slainte Mhor!

And yes, I'm aware that that's a bunch of Scots, but a bunch of Scots migrated a bit South 'o the Border to another quaint isle. As a consequence, I've relatives in both, and can wear two tartans (three if you count me clergy status...)

So, enjoy a pint o' the finest this day and raise it to Saint Paddy...
