| Noon today, Friday, Feb. 12, ESPN 2 Danica qualifies for Nationwide race. I'm betting on a good qualifying run! |

the first practice she was about 25th fastest but the 2nd practice she was around 6th fastest. at daytona qualifying is a whole different deal though. usually the fast cars in qualifying aren't very good in the race. to be fast by themselves they need to have little downforce but to run well in the pack they need downforce. _________________ Blaise Haynes

| Do wish Danica would stand in front of a Tony Kart for a photo op; but I don't see that happening. Long ago, I remember a beautiful turquoise kart trailer being pulled by a turquoise vehicle arriving at kart tracks everywhere--coming from Roscoe, Illinois--hauling the entire Patrick family including the Schnauzer--those were great days! Believe Danica drove a Coyote in the very early days! |

| Thanks for posting that great early photo of Danica on her Coyote--met the new owner of Coyote at the Kart Marketing show in chicago last year--really nice guy who is working hard to promote Coyote. Re: Danica--please know Danica is still loyal to Bell Helmet products--she is a huge Bell advocate. Nice that she is still so loyal to her original products. I hope everyone realizes what a great family the Patrick family is--raced with them on WKA weekends along with Sam Hornish Jr. and his Dad--another terrific family--those were great days! |

Sounds like my exciting childhood racing all over. Raced with Mark Dismore Sr,Scott Pruett,Lynn Haddock,Lake Speed,Scott Sellergren,Terry Ives, Terry Traeder,Kyle Adkins,Rudy Francek, and many others I cant think of because I am old ! Man, look at that list, no wonder it was hard to win Nationals back then ! Danica has done well and I really believe she will do well in the Nationwide series. She has proven she can handle the fender handicapped cars already ! LOL _________________ Racing is a State of Mind ! ... A very nice state to be in ! |

Somehow that gives me a vision of a middle aged chap balancing on a beam repeating "Polly wanna cracker".
Danica will be racing like the consummate pro she's demonstrated in the past. That would be liberal on the throttle and conservative on the brake. _________________ John Denman

| if you ask me i sounded like she just got off the gas and didnt even touch the brake. and it was not like she had someone right behind her cause she obviously didnt. that is just my view of it. |

If you watch the replay, she is heavy on the brake. |
