Are we sure that's not a crossover for the Rocket Racing League?

The ideas that went into the design are realistic.
The results are radical, and I like radical.

What do they have to lose by picking this?
No one watches indy car racing anymore anyway.
If they stay with what they have they'll be gone in a couple years
If the pick this and everyone leaves, what's the difference

If it works...................... heroes

If it works, then they are stuck racing tricycles forever.

The web site was so embarrased they already covered it up Shocked

Silly me, all this time I thought Indy was "open wheel racing".

That might work in the NHRA, but how in the hell do they expect it to turn with that narrow of a front track? That car would single handedly kill the IRL. Maybe that's why Tony George quit.....

I want to see someone try to get that thing to turn in on a road course...

They should call it the DELTA DART...its ridiculous. They should just have Gene Simmons drive it it full KISS gear.

FuUgly! Looks like something you'd find on the salt flats.

I'm with Kerry on the Delta Wing, salt flat bound. Kinda looks like a rolling suppository. The top view shows a really narrow front end with skinny front tires and what appears to be zero downforce. It oviously isn't meant for a street circuit.

I'm thinking it looks more like a Pinewood Derby car.

Love it or hate it, Delta Wing would be the most exciting thing to happen to Indy since the rear-engine revolution, turbine days of the sixties.

Interesting interview with the designer along with a comp. sim of two Delta Wings hotlapping Mid-Ohio. He talks a lot about shifting the C of G back, etc. I still don't get how it will turn at speed. Maybe the plan is to race them in reverse so the wheel config is like a Can-Am cycle???
