This weekend will mark the season finale of the new Championship Karting International series. Beginning just five months ago, the new program will crown six champions Sunday following the action at the Grand Championship event at Oklahoma Motorsports Complex.
EKN will have the Preview Thursday, breaking down those who will be in the hunt for the championships. EKN will be in Norman Friday to provide the Trackside Live coverage throughout the weekend. Check here for updates, beginning Friday with official practice and qualifying.

Yea Jason, I don't think I've seen it rain here during a big race ever.

| A reminder to some folks. CKI won't have live video this weekend, but will have live timing on their website: www.championshipkartracing.com. In the red box under "Coverage" on the homepage, click on "Live Timing". It should be a pop-up. I would imaging they will have that going sometime tomorow for practice. |

EKN Trackside Live: Friday Practice
Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen -
The EKN staff has arrived at the Oklahoma Motorsports Complex, greeted by very cool weather and strong winds. It is a vert grey day here in Norman, but the weather sites are hinting that we may see the sun this afternoon with highs in the low 50s. The track is still a little damp after the morning practice sessions, certainly throwing a wrench into the set-up plans for the drivers getting ready to roll into qualifying.
The CKI officials are currently handling the drivers meeting in preparation for this afternoon's final practice session at 12:30 local time. Qualifying is set to go for 3:00 pm, and you'll be able to follow the live timing via the CKI website. We're also going to work on streaming my race call again this weekend, like we did for the Rock Island Grand Prix. You'll be able to pick this up on our Trackside Live page - www.ekartingnews.com/live
The CKI Grand Championship is now underway.

| Just got a call from someone at the track. The weather is brrrrrrrrrrrrr with a chance of HOLY Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am staying at home til tomorrow when it will warm up to 52. |
