I recently agreed to purchase a starter for a Cadet kart from a person from this site, classified section. He sent me photos .I asked him a final price with shipping.I did not even argue a price.I immediately sent a US Postal money order for the sum of $90.00 with tracking. He tells me he got it within a day or so and agreed to send the starter out.He tells me I he would of had it with in a few days.Tells me it went out and I should have it last Sat latest Mon.I gave him a reasonable amount of time.NO STARTER.I start e-mailing him no return e-mails.This has gone on for a week.I will give it one more week and then Post his name and address and report him to the post office.I would also like to know who on this site I can report him to so he does not do it again.
Thank You |

I understand that is the rule, Roger, but I really don't understand why. If one of our members, business or individual, tries to screw over a karter, I think everyone should know who he is. Knowing that their names might be posted here, might stop that kind of crap.

| Problem is that it is only one side of a story and there are always two sides. Much better to get it all handled off line instead of messing with peoples reputations on both sides of the story. How often is that non-mods on these forums tell people to go directly to the source to clear something up and not use the forums. |

If you say so, but even the local TV news channels expose deadbeats and dishonest people all the time. Ofcourse, the accused could respond on the same forum if they wished.
I've had problems with deadbeats not paying for products for extended periods of time, or not paying at all. I'd like to warn others so they don't get caught up in the same problem, but I know it's not allowed on the site, so I don't bother trying.
I know I'm not going to win, so I'll shut up. It seems to be a sign of the times. Most people are afraid to insult or call out those who are not really honest or don't live up to their obligations.
I'm not.

TV stations have deep pockets, karting websites don't. There are liability issues here, I would imagine. _________________ Sex is like pizza. When it's good it's great and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. |

Must be something about guys named Walt (Wally) 'cause I keeps it real too bro!
Postal money order? woops, never use those. I love stories about the post office so please let us know what they do for you.
For someone you don't know use paypal, YOU'LL LOVE THE CHARGE BACK IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR PARTS. When selling with paypal always send with tracking numbers or they'll charge back on you. It's a jungle out there.
Hope you work it out.

Ofcourse, you're right, Tom, but as you might expect, I have no tolerance for the dishonest people in this world and it's just my nature to have no respect for those who are "dead beats".
Both cause problems for those who are neither. It's gotten to the point that I make most unestablished customers pre-pay or I ship orders COD.

Wally, just send the guy his starter and quit fussing. I knew it was you right from the beginning. _________________ Sex is like pizza. When it's good it's great and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. |

Low blow, low blow. Even Joseph doesn't insult me like that anymore. At least not lately.
