As an officer for the Batavia Kart Club I am trying to gain some information for next season.
We would like to here your experiences on the best tire for club racing the World Formula karts on.
Performance Vs. Pricing being the key. The Maxxis seems to have a great price point and the MG's have good durability. I have used both of them before but not that often. Please tell us your thoughts. Maybe the new Bridgestone YKC?

What's wrong with the Burris tires or are you just interested in the imports? Very Happy We make two great compounds, the B44A and B55A, and besides being made in the USA (PA to be exact) they cost 20%/30% less than the imports. If you are interested email me at info@burrisracing.com to my attention.
Mike

I knew I was missing a few. I figured I would add others as they were commented on. Thanks mike!

P.S. What are the durometer specs on the 44A and 55A??

We have had great success running both the Burris B55A and the B44A tires. They are more cost effective and have great wear charateristics with little to no issues with heat cycles.

For a club I would go with Bridgestone YKC. Mainly because WKA and IKF mandate them as a spec tire. They are not bad handlers, kinda middle of the road.

However, if it is performance I prefer MG yellows. I have practiced on many brands...bridgestone, MG, Douglas, Mojo ect. and I personally like the feel of a scuffed set of MGs. Just my personal preference.

We also offer our newely designed Land Speed tires for oval track as well as asphalt sprint racing. They come with .150" tread depth, 55 duro right out of the box, and best of all sell right to your racers for $130 per set of 4 tires. If your club wants to consider buying a pallet of tires at one time, we can make you an even better price.
thank you,

We have run the Burris some and will be mounting up some Maxxis this week. Looking for someone from MG to contact us about this test. Wink
