I would like to thank Ted Coen V.P. of so cal sprinters and the club for letting me race his LO206 Saturday at the club race. This was the most fun I've had driving in a while. This is just what I have been looking for. The motor is so simple, just pull the rope and step on the gas. No more driving with my hand on the carb. For you who are not sure about the LO206 this is the way to go. It's perfect for the new guy who wants to race but dosen't want to or cannot spend the big bucks. You don't need the $4,000 dollar chassis to run up front. And it's perfect for the racer who wants to go a little slower but still have fun. Yes it's not a Tag or shifter and you probablly won't get invited to test at Indy but my ribs feel fine and my arms don't ache and I had no trouble getting out of the kart and walking up the hill. Well, a little cause I am old and fat but this is the class for me. Again, thank you Ted and so cal sprinters for the wonderful day!!!

Charles, I am really glad you had a good time. Now you just need to keep on coming out. And Steve you need to come on out and give the LO206 a try. You can run my kart if you want. I think I have someone running it in April but if you want to run it in the May race we can make that happern Just let me know.

That's great news, guys.

I know that I always had a great time running four-cycle in Ontario. The racing was always close and the motor was bullet-proof. It was never about the outright speed, although for a first timer it felt really quick. It was about the close racing....crazy close and lots of drafting.

The key was the reliability of the motor. If something happened, it was pretty cheap to fix. In the case of the 206, even a catostrophic failure that required a new motor would also set you back $550. Try sticking an ICC engine....$1000+ just to put on a new cylinder.

I really hope people begin to see that the 206 program brings reliability to the newbies of the sport. If we can get guys to come in and allow them to race cheaply, they'll get hooked.

Where can I buy the Burris tires for L206?

Is Adams Kart Track the only place to run the animal in so-cal?

What is the spec pipe?
How much?

I have a great idea. Run Burris tires on the LO206 class and run Bridgestone on the F200 series... Laughing Laughing Wink

Looks like common sense has prevailed. From what I understand any hard tire will do for now, after all it is "local option"....

I have a set of Maxxis Raptors we'll be testing soon, full set for less than $90 Shocked

Cheers,

Why stop at the tires? Maybe they should run clones and then they'd have less than $250 in the tires AND engine. Wink

Will someone make sure each clone motor is within ARKA (or whatever governing body you want) specs and seal them? Maybe put a good slide carb and a rev limiter on them for that price?
