Official Sodi Kart Expo International Show Discussion

Hello EKN Viewers,

As has become tradition, the end of February brings with it the annual trek to the Chicago area, as much of the karting community prepares to attend the 17th annual Sodi Kart Expo International Show on February 21-22. Moving to the new DuPage Expo Center will be a return to the St. Charles, IL area as the show was hosted in Schaumburg over the past two years.

A number of companies and organizations in the karting community will be on-hand to display the latest karting products and information. EKN once again will have complete coverage of the show to bring you what's new for 2009 with many different media outlets for you to view, hear, and read.

In addition to the show, the Kart Industry Roundtable will take place on Friday, February 20. RaceFanRadio.com will be on hand to air the discussion live through their website, along with many broadcast hours during the show.

This show is important for the N. American karting industry and I hope everyone who can will support it. Be sure to visit the Rock Island Grand Prix booth.

I will be there with a camera. Will there be any swap meet at this? I am looking for a new seat and a stand hoping to find one?

Sorry -- I would disagree, MUCH is there to be sold. No one wants to haul stuff home if they can sell it at the show. You just might have to wait until Sunday to take it home. But it is NOT a swap meet.

This is my first show so I wasn't sure how it works exactly. I will be there sunday so hopefully some displays will be for sale.

Jeff, what are you looking for?

A stand with wheels? Call streeter and see if they are going to be there and hold one for you.

Just wanting a seat, do you know what size....post up and we can make sure that someone brings what you need.

I am new to the sport so I really don't know what I want just yet. How lucky am I that this expo is only 20 minutes from home?

Jeff, you should look up Viking Karting Products, They are literally down the road from the show in Carol Stream.
When at the show, check out Franklin Karting, They are Tillett importers and last year said they had so many requests for seats, they will have more this year.

Thanks for the info Dave. I am aware of that shop and have buddies who swear by them. I am really looking forward to the show just to see all that is out there.
