I wanted to know more rewarding as well as the most recognized acheivement ?
Winning the SKUSA super nationals
or
Running a full year of stars and winning a national championship ?
Having a choice what race or race series would one choose ? |

If only the Toro Rosso was as good back then as it seems to be now. 
Seriously though, aspiring young drivers should turn a few wheels on a roundy round course if they ever want to make a career out of racing in the US. If you want to be a pro road course driver I would take the money for running a season of Stars and move to England.
If I were a young man I would want to work here:

So Johnny, I've got to assume you're pretty young and wanting to make a career of racing. Best advice is to stay in school and get some kind of engineering degree. That way at least when you don't get recruited by Ferrari you can still go racing and have fun doing it

Actually,
I am 33 and me and my wife just had our first child  but feel 18 and olympic every day. Just wanted to get people's feeling on spending 10's of thousands of dollars running stars (not knocking the series) to a few big race like Rockisland or Super Nats being what gets more reconized as far as karting goes |

winning a season title takes a huge effort and consistency over time.
Winning a one off against a huge, competitive field takes a great week. |

For me the biggest kart race to win in the United States is the Max national championship in the international category.
Both Stars and Skusa are based around Italian pick of the litter powerplants. In karting power is a big deal and having friends in Italy and a lot of money to throw at them makes you go fast in those leagues. I couldn't be bothered/impressed winning either of those races, it just means your dad has money.
Winning the max championship means you can actually drive and beat a lot of people with the same power. Going on to win the Max Grand finals would really get my attention!

While I do agree with micheal about the money issue and whos daddy has more makes you go faster, I would trade any championship id ever earned for a SKUSA Supernationals win, doesnt matter the class. Maybe its the fact that for me its home turf, being born and raised in Sin City and all

In this case I would definitely go with the big events since they are so much fun. Running Stars will feel like a full time job after a few events unless you just contract with one of the big teams while Supernats or Rock Island are events unto themselves with rich rewards for just showing up and running.
If you're in SoCal run with the ProKart boys to see where you're against some hot shoes at for relatively little cash.
But, you might have more fun going to England and racing formula fords in the rain a few times
When you get to the level of competition you're talking about there really isn't much chance of a win for a 33-year-old privateer. I had a driver make the final at the SuperNats a few years back and without factory backing it felt like winning just not getting eliminated
But, I wouldn't trade that experience for twenty seasons of Stars....
If you ask me though, the best recognition would be to spend the money on buying up a bunch of cheap karts, throwing $200 Harbor Freight motors on them, and letting a group of disadvantaged kids have a shot at racing.
Think about who you admire and try to be like them....
