| I logged off Racefan radio before they signed off but they reported that the Simpson team was assessed a 10 second penalty giving the win to the Lewis team. |

Crazy! Two karts sliding across the finish line, three one-hundredths of a second apart after 200 laps. And the one crossing first may or may not have a penalty from mid-race. We left before the decision was final.
Great race though. Having all of the professional drivers really made it for the fans. You could tell they were really rooting for them.
And I can't believe nobody has mentioned this yet...the quote of the day...
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Start your engines!" by Mary Hulman-George. Gave me the same chills it does at Indy. _________________ Spec TaG Masters @ NCMP / #23 |

Simpson Racing was penalized ten seconds for passing under the yellow. Thus awarding Lewis/CKS Racing the win. Simpson Racing would fall to only second.
Full results are being posted now. _________________ David Cole

80 plus karts take the green with no incident speaks to the level of talent in this event.... Or at least patience!!
Another great event with a second to non staff
....including David's reporting! _________________ www.thekartingzone.com

Alan, you "forgot" about the Rotax Grand Nationals. Once again, excellent RaceFanRadio.com coverage. A very exciting finish. |

| 15 of top 26 were on Arrows. Their were 24 of them in the field which was easily more than any other kart but more than half of them put them up front. I don't think you can really take anything away from them. I was impressed when first looking at the results. I think it's unfair to claim becasue comet is a dealer is the reason why. It's not like eveyone would expect the top ten to be all Birel's if the race was at MRP. Great job to all of the drivers. Sounded like another exciting race. |

Tough break for Jimmy Simpson. I think his finish average in the last four endurance races there is around 3.
Hang in there bud. you're day will come! |

Wow!! I'm still out of breath.
What an event, dramatic qualifying with the top 30 covered by less than a second, Mary Hulman George giving the "Gentlemen Start Your Engines" command, The sight of 84 machines taking the green flag, Great performances all through the field and a side by side wheel banging finsh across the line.
It doesn't get much better than that. _________________ Greg Wright
