Hello EKN viewers,

This week is the second annual Stars of Karting All-Stars Karting Classic at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. A strong list of professional motorsports drivers will be jumping into the seat of karts Thursday along with some of the best karters in North America.

We'll be posting updates throughout the event with Top 10 for all on-track sessions that will be scored. Our event preview with a complete entry list will be published Wednesday.

Weather.com says that it is supposed to be partly cloudy and a high of 76, so that sounds like a big improvement from last year. This will be a huge thing for karting in the mainstream motorsports community, so let's hope that it stays clear and that we get a great night. I expect a huge crowd for this.

I was at the PRI Exibitors Reception with my company, and Paulie Harraka's NASCAR Late Model was on display in the main lobby. Nice looking car. I will try to post a picture.

Looking forward to the Stars kart races and the Mopar Sprint and Midget races at Orlando Speed World. Going to the PRI show is one of the highlights of the year. If any of you ever get the opportunity to attend, make sure you do. It's well worth the trip. If you enjoy see the latest high performance racing parts, this is the place to be.

Doesn't appear, but I could be wrong, that the race is in the same place. There are a lot of trailers set up where the track was last year.

Good morning EKN viewers,

The EKN staff is waking to a bright and sunny day in Florida, glad to be away from the snow and cold of home up north. We are getting ready to head over to the show after getting in late from the airport. Once we get settled in at the show, we'll have updates on what's going on.

Yesterday, Paul Zalud, President of Stars of Karting, was part of a round table discussion that including many in the motorsports industry, including SpeedTV's Robin Miller. Zauld contributed to the conversations in a great manner, gather ideas about how to connect karting with the rest of the motorsports industry in North America.

This morning, Joey Hand and Michael Valiante were part of the Opening Breakfast entertainment, including their karts for the race this weekend. I heard both had some tricks up their selves during the show Wink

Please change your user name to your real name.

We will have live updates here during the event. There is no live video or timing.

They just concluded with the driver's meeting and will begin practice around 4pm
