My son and his team mate were out at the track last evening turning some laps. For those of you that were there for the Man Cup and thought they place looked good wait until you see it this weekend. The track crew has been working around the clock and it looks better than ever. Mark Sr. was still out at 8:30pm when I left continuing to bag new bales, paint this and that, etc. Make sure you tell him Happy Birthday on Friday - he wil be 51. I'm not sure of many other people that age that can still wheel a kart like he can.
I think the current entry list is in the low 90's. I hope they can break 100. Pretty amazing to have that many entries for ONE class. |

I hope we break what TaG USA had out in Colorado I was told 115 or so? That would be awesome! Lintner was running fast last night for as cold as it was. Won't say what it was but I'm thinking top twenty on time are going to have to beat a 1:07:1 from looking at last year. If it's as cold as it is today maybe couple tenths slower. What was the track like last year as cold as it is now? _________________ Kyle Daughtery

This weekend at the Robo Pong 200 at New Castle Motorsports Park there will be a demo and race showing off kartings premier C Open class of years gone by. Jeff Brown out of Detroit and Burris Racing of Huntington Beach, CA put the program together and it is called Vintage Thunder and it will give you great look into the past when racing was dangerous and sex was safe! Mark Dismore has set aside an area next to the main building at NCMP where all the Thunder Karts will be on display so come by and check them out.
Mike
Ps- Thanks Mark you da man!!!

| I think to get in the top 50 youll have to run around a minute 7.5 or 8 if it warms up this weekend. Pole is usually around a mid to high 1:05, depending on how hot it is. I think the top thirty or so will be much closer but the times will fall off towards the back. |

Friday was a full day of practice, right up until the sun was still out. NCMP held the drivers meeting with a pack Racer's Grill concession area with all the drivers and team members on hand thus far.
Talking with people around the paddock, high 1:05s was the fast times seen today. About 50 teams (estimate) practice. Many Junior drivers who make the age requirement were out today, getting in practice with the extra engine power.
Here is the schedule for tomorrow:
9:30am - Vintage Kart Practice
10am - RoboPong Practice
1pm - Vintage Kart Practice
2pm - RoboPong Qualifying (Groups of six - 3 timed laps each)
Top 50 earn spot
3pm - Vintage Heat Race
4pm - RoboPong LCQ - 75 laps
Top 20 earn spot _________________ David Cole
