We use Alfano Pro systems on our karts and would like some feedback on their product Alfano Vue. Does anyone have experience with this data aquisition software and infrared pen? What information is downloaded and is it presented in a usefull manner?

Hi John,
I have not purchased the software yet but if
you would like to evaluate it go to:
www.alfano.be/englais/default.htm
and select OPTIONS on the left. This will lead you to a link to download an evaluation
copy of Alfano Vue. It appears that only the French version is available but fear not. Just stumble thru the install and then select
English as the display language from the top menu. They even include some example Chrono and Record files.

Karl and Randy,
Thanks.I was able to download the evaluation copy from the Euro site as a .zip.However, only got streaming text from the US site.
I'm not really sure that I got anything really usefull. It doesn't seem to show head temp or split times and I'm not sure that I understand the graphic presentation. Does anyone know if the commercial version includes a comprehensive manual and or tutorial?

Terry,
Let me know if I'm way off in addressing your question.
The downloaded file is a zip file. You'll need winzip to open the archive (zip) and extract the files to your system. You can pickup a free eval of winzip from http://www.winzip.com.
After you get winzip, open the alfano zip and extract the files to you local drive. Then I believe you'll need to run the Setup.Exe to install the software.
Let me know if you have any questions.
