We are hoping to be getting an entry list sometime today from New Castle.
I think everyone is too busy to go into the kart shop area to use the wireless internet to browse EKN today so that's why we haven't gotten any updates. _________________ David Cole

We'll I'm here live at the racers grill (830am) and it's about 42 degrees outside right now. And I've heard rumors there might be snow here next weekend for the RoboPong.com endurance race!!!
Engine break-in is about to start, followed by 2 practice sessions, qualifying, and a heat race.
I really can't tell you who is fast. No transponders were run yesterday so it was hard to tell who was setting the pace.
I can tell you that TAG Senior Pro has 13 entries; TAG Senior 23; Expert only has 7 karts.
And a special shout-out to Chris Wheeler doin the microphone duties in the freezing cold this weekend. _________________ Rising Star Motorsports Development

I saw some great racing at the New Castle today. In the seniors Wiegand the ple man lost a breather went to the tail an raced back to seventh after a red flag. Jared in the junior 1 started dead last an won after a qualifying DQ. In pro at the end of the day Joseph Newgarden was smokin coming from back in the pack to win, Billy Lewis was 2nd. the heavy class was a good race there was 3 motori seven in the class. The 4cycle group was won easily by the knew style engines dominating the class over bilanders there a very different lookin motor an very torquey off the corners. A bilander brought home the win in the masters in a large class. The juniors was a very fast group close together all the way only 1 motor besides Parilla, rotax, was a BM Caleb White I believe from out west. I also saw a PCR engine I think he got second in expert. Around a hundred Karts all good equipment, all good drivers 72 degrees at race time an I think theres probrably some guys sitting home who,s missing some great racing for what ever reason. Have a good day I hope I give you some idea of what went on. _________________ Ive been karting since 1959.an I,m a active tech man on 2 cycles, presently working at Whiteland raceway, an New Castle raceway park, in IN. |

Our inside source has confirmed that the karters have been allowed to return to the New Castle facility after the potential bomb was terminated at the Flying J. The heat races will be completed now and get into the rest of the day's action. _________________ David Cole
