Randolph is sponsored by them, and it is really a nice piece. We are still doing some testing with it, and are quite sure that it will prove to be an asset. Tuning is an absolute breeze. No jets to change. Changes are made by simply "dialing" in the settings that you require. Their website is
Edelbrock.com. Go to the "QwikSilver" carb section, and you will find all of the info on this great product. I don't know if it is has been released for sale yet, so you might want to look into the "legality" of using one in your organization. I do know that it will be legal for use in the SKUSA Mission Region. Randolph has not been competing with it in SKUSA for this reason, but will be as soon as it becomes available to the public. Hope this helps.

I have one but have not had enough time to dial it in. The needles supplied were way too rich (25, 27, 29). The velocity throat shape is very good and it has a 34 wide by 38 tall. It weighs about twice as much as the Kiehn. It lacks the shrouding around the fuel dsichage surface on the bottom of the bore like is found on a 4 stroke.
Should have some test results available next week. |

| I am in the middle of testing the Edelbrock carb on my 125 Honda shifter. So far the results are encouraging. We are finding this carburetor provides more precise tuning which calls for significantly different settings depending on the motor design. Part and mid throttle response is the bright spot but we need more time to get it dialed, then we can do some comparisons with the Keihn we currently run. Others in this area are also testing and their results should be available soon. Edelbrock is providing assistance to get the details worked out. The current size they offer is proving too small for the more modified "pro" motors. Edelbrock is getting ready to send out a few larger carbs to be tested. I'll provide updates. |
