I have a 2001 Tony Mitox and i need some axle keys tomorrow. I am leaving NC and going to IN tomorrow afternoon. The axle has the keys wiht the rounded ends on them. Are all shifter keys the same? Its for the rear hub. I am trying to see if maybe comet would carry them. Thanks

Scott-
I UPS'd two axle keys to you tuesday... you should have them tomorrow. No charge. If they don't happen to get there... then anyone at the track will have extras.. I have 5-6 extra keys and I don;t carry much stuff, so someone will have them. They are standard keys for almost ANY 40mm axle (use the thinner ones).

Scott and Marc,
On our Mitox 50mm the keys are thin with two round tabs on them. Im not sure about the 40 but I know the 50 will not take a standard key. At least ours wont because of these tabs. If tony has changed the design, its something I havent heard or seen.
Hope this helps |

Marc, I am sure scott will thank you himself, and even if they are not the correct keys, that was a tremendous, thoughtful gesture. You are a credit to your sport, and country.
Now, i desperately need a spare Rotax max ............!! |

I've got more metric keys than I know what to do with, so I'm sure I have them. Peg style, short long, uncut, thin, thick, blah blah blah... |

Chris-
The axle in Scott's kart is a 40mm Tony axle. The 40mm stuff takes standard keys and should be the same.
I wasn't sure if the 50mm axle used a standard key or not.. I assumed they use the THIN keys for obvious reasons, but so do I... the 50 isn't drilled is it? like the righetti axles are?

| The 50mm is drilled with two dowels on the brake and axle hub locations and three holes on the drive sproket location. I checked and JM racing has them in stock for immediate fedex if required. |

OK.. Thanks John.. wasn't sure if they were Righetti style or not.
Scott has a 40mm axle with recessed axle slots as is what is most standard on euro karts.. he is taken care of then.
