| Anyone know anything about this chassis for a 125 shifter application? Havnt heard much about them. Can you extend the porch? Is stiff enough for bigger drivers? |

Hi West, or is it brother?
Anyway the PCR is made in the Parolin Factory. Only thing is I'm not sure which one it is. All the Parolin stuff is good, but as you stated, you need to figure out what this chassis really is and determine if it will work for you. There are a few I would avoid. You may want to contact someone who really knows the Parolin product line. FYI, they also make KGB, MBA, Energy, SKM, Parolin and several others.

West,
I was almost positive that PCR was a lone manufacturer, so when Gary made that post, I called Doug, from Franklin Motorsports, the PCR importer.
Since '93, PCR has been manufacturing their own chassis, but prior to that parolin made them for a short while when they first began pushing a chassis line. Before that, PCR was more known for their 2-cycle engine development.
They now make their own chassis, components, 2-cycle engines, etc..
Parolin manufacturers (off the top of my head) these frames...and for the most part..ONLY the frames as other component mfgs. are across the street.
Parolin, KGB, SKM, Hammer, ItalKart, Gold, MBA, Shark Kart, InterKart, Energy.
They DO NOT manufacture Fox, Biesse, PCR, DFM, sodi, tracy, First, Haase, etc..
Just thought I would help out with that. As far as how they handle, I have a friend that I race with that has one and he is very happy with it, and they seem to have a great customer service program through Franklin in WI. Although I have never driven one personally, I have looked at one closely and they look well built with good components throughout.
Hope that helps.

Marc,
Thanks for straightening me out on that. My understanding was that Parolin made a few of the chassis PCR sold as shifters. So I stand corrected.

I have a 2000 PCR Red Rocket. I am very happy with it and I get great service on the mail order parts from Franklin Motorsports. They will take as much time as you need on the line to talk you through something. I have notched 4 wins with it this season. If you want to know more drop me an email off line.

FYI, The Hammer Chassis and SKM are no longer manufactured by Parolin. Both chassis have undergone subtle changes since the design was manufactred by Parolin.
