I'm putting my new 125 on my chasis and have a few questions.

What is the best way to deal with the two water inlets on the head?

I've seen the two into one "Y" splice, where do they sell those?

Also, does the water inlet screw out? And if so is that how the plug works on one side?

Thanks

J.R., Thank you for the very detailed explanation!

I have a question about your web site, when I click on: http://www.powersourceracing.com/engine.html

I get the header, but I don't see anything else. Are the products not listed yet, or is my browser perhaps not set correctly to see the page?

Thanks

Jeff, the majority of people running the CR125 use a single outlet from the head. You will need to heat the head and then un screw both fittings. Use a six point, 19mm box end wrench or you will just round off the corners. Next you will retap the holes to 3/8" pipe thread. This will allow you to use an automotive type hose barb fitting. Use a NAPA #660-1523 fitting. Plug the left side with a 3/8 pipe plug (allen style). Now you can use a single 3/4" hose which is the same size as the typical 125 radiator inlet. Again, NAPA has hose with pre formed 90 degree bends on one end. 18" is #9816;
24" is #9818; 48" is #9821. If you do it this way you will not have water flow problems, I assure you.
Cheers, J.R. at Power Source.

Mike Gent at www.sharkshifter.com makes a cool billet "y" adapter for your water inlets. I has one input w/ two outlets. It is also tapped for a H2O probe. Hope this helps.

Yes Jeff, it has been a very long work in progress but we have got almost all the new photos done so it shouldn't be much long.
Thanx, J.R.

JR-

I had always wondered why there are two inlets if you only need or use one?

Can you explain? Also... is this something that I could do to my TM? What do we do differently compared to motorcycles that allow us to only run a single water inlet?

Really curious.

Marc,

I'm might be wrong, most like am.

But don't dirt bikes run two small radiators? Which might be the reason for the two inlets.

Gary-
I KNEW there had to be some sort of explanation.... so I guess my question still stands...

How do I clean up the look of my TM? Save some weight and clear that messy two inlet system?

Marc,
Honda's clean up nice and can utilize a single water outlet with the addition of an o-ringed head...
