Co-Race website? Co-Race the shop? Why not the SKUSA Mtn Region Website?

At the Co-RAce shop. The points are in an xls format and I tried to post it on the SKUSA web site but the formating sucks and completely jumbles the results. Email me privatly and I will send you the xls file.

Doug, first thank you for putting all the time and work in updating our Region, I appreciate it as I'm sure many other do also.
I have a clarification question, which I'll put on this thread as I'm guessing others will have the same question. In the update you say:
"This means that for any racer who elects to bypass the Sandia Quad Regional, there will be one additional event dropped from their points total. They will effectively have only their 5 best results count."
How will this work? If a driver goes to the quad and they have their 6 best races count, will you divide their total points my six, and for those that do not go to the quad race, their total points from their 5 best races will be divided by 5, and the best average wins?
Thanks

Jeff,
I will try to explain. We have a total of 7 events this year. In those 7 events, you have to opportunity to earn points in 8 races. (two main events at Sandia) The region is going to count your best 6 races and they are going to drop 2 events.
For example, if you miss an IMI race and a CRE race and do all the rest including Sandia, you will have 2 event drops and will have 6 results.
If you do all the races, your 2 worst results will be dropped.
If you miss Sandia but attend all the other races, both Sandia races are out and one other event, your worst result. In this case, only your 5 best results will count toward your points.
Bottom line is this, if the championship means anything to you, I'll see you in New Mexico. If not, I'll see you in Colorado Springs at the end of September.

| Wow, so the region has set up the points so that if a competitor doesn't attend the quad region - they cannot possibly win the overall season title. At least we got 8 days lead time of notice. |

All things considered, the Mountain Region is lucky to be having a championship. I know I didn't volunteer, (a) for the job originally or (b) after Chuck removed his temporary status, or (c) helped in any way to setup any of the races or (d) caused it to rain or snow on any of the pre-planned dates. I'm not thrilled with the double points, but even if it was single we'd be going. My two cents. |
